For all you food lovers out there (pretty much everyone right?), check out this new gourmet supermarket opening in Parkhurst next weekend:

I am also excited to try the new Pick 'n Pay flagship store that opened on the William Nicol last weekend. Forget about queues and hassles, this store is designed to be an enetre sensory experience of the pleasurable kind. The store has different fresh food sections like a deli, fish market, cheese room, bakery, all set within a contemporary, modern environment.This idea of taking grocery shopping beyond a chore is something one is starting the world over. Three examples that spring to mind are Whole Foods Market, Eataly (, and Dean and Deluca (send me your faves- would love to have a look!)

I can't wait to go. What excites me is the Good Food Studio, located on the upper level, where mere mortals (and domestically disabled) can learn the fine art of cooking. Grocery never sounded so much fun!
