Paris vs New York

Monday, April 30, 2012

This contrast of NY and Paris through icons of these two cities is brilliant.Wouldn't you love one on your wall?

Graphic designer Vahram Muratyan says: "It all started when I wondered, if I was stranded on a desert island, what aspects of Paris and New York would I keep? What would be the perfect collection of things? They could be habits, or landmarks or food, anything that would bring the two cultures together in one image.

Monday time

It is always hard to be at work on the day between a long weekend and a public holiday. My engines were very slow to start this morning.

Happy weekend!

Friday, April 27, 2012

So it appears my entire post has been lost. Weekend links and all :( oh no. And they were all about weddings! (you would have loved them). So for now, I hope you are having a great Friday and may your weekend be filled with joy. And nice things. Xxx

Hello Cape Town

Thursday, April 26, 2012

The husband and I are flying down to Cape Town this evening. Friends of ours are getting married on Saturday which worked out well with the long weekend (I heart public holidays!).

Here are a few pics from our last trip down there:

Celebrating Jan-Jan's birthday at The Grand

Beer of the day at the infamous Power and Glory

Brunch at Suprette

The Lobby Hair Shop on Albert Road

Cupcake from Manna

We had dinner at Luke Dale Robert's Pot Luck Club. In short, it was pretty much one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Do you yourself a favour and try it. Book in advance and transport yourself to another world through your taste buds. Yum.

Happy weekend

Friday, April 20, 2012

Hello pretty people. YAY for the weekend! I hope you all had a good week. I didn't get nearly enough done but more is nog 'n dag (tomorrow is another day for the non South African readers).

What are your plans this weekend? We are all about the house with a renovation around the corner and will spend the better half of Saturday scouting tiles, and ovens, and kitchen things. On Sunday, I am dragging Cheska and Human all around town for a "non-engagement shoot photography course practical."

Here are some lovely links from around the web:

This hat is perfectly elegant (now if only we were heading into summer...)

For all you pinners, take a look at this for a little laugh (comments be crazy!)

Speaking of Pinterest, I started a new board this week "Discover New York" (surprise, surprise)
