The retreat of Nguyen Qui Duc is perfect to put you in the weekend mood.The Vietnamese born, American bred writer returned to Vietnam, settled in Tam Dao and built his dream home. He designed it himself and used mostly stone and glass and the result is spectacular. I would quite fancy an escape of cool mountain air, pine forests and dramatic views.
