My twins babes are 11 weeks old. I can't believe we have reached this point already. Eleven weeks. Only 77 days. A fleeting moment. Times speeds up when your day is broken up into three hours slots centered solely around two beings who depend on you for their lives. Suddenly the week is over. And them the next one. And each day the babes get imperceptibly bigger, leaving behind their scrawny selves and filling out limbs with baby chub. Cheeks become round from suckling. Each day newborn strands of hair fall from funny patch work dos, smiles become more distinct, necks get a little stronger, personalities emerge as they become who they are. Cries give way to cooing. Newborn clothes are packed away with fresh nostalgia and the next sizes are washed and worn. Eyes awaken, lashes lengthen. Obstacles are overcome and new ones emerge alongside new discoveries. Mine of them. And theirs of the world.
