Guest Post: Let's go skiing
Monday, November 7, 2011
It is that time if year when things get hot hot hot here and over on the other side of the world the weather reports are talking about snow. And although I love the sunshine in December, it would be quite nice to spend a week or two skiing and staying in this cabin. sigh!
Ah weekend, you smell lovely

What are your plans this weekend? I want to maximise the chilling factor but will fit in a girls' breakfast on Saturday morning, a (much needed) appointment at the hairdresser, neighbourgoods market with a friend from CT (yes, Jo'burg does have things beside malls), a movie (good old-fashioned fun) and a family lunch on Sunday.
Here are some three videos from around the web to suit your mood:
Funny:
This clip of kids' reactions when parents told them they ate all their Halloween Candy is part amusing (the boy at the end takes a very rational approach), part uncomfortable, part heartbreaking.
Chilling:
Just watching these crazy Frenchies fly off mountains gives me the shivers
Beautiful:
One day I want to go and see the incredible Northern Lights
Have a good one L's and G's!
xoxo
HAPPY MOVEMBER!

Have a great month ladies and gents! Keep an eye out for all those sexy mo's around town. And just remember, a tash makes all the difference.

The Selection
My sister has just launched an online store, The Selection.
It is a wonderful place to find gifts for Christmas, kitchen teas,
birthday cards, party decorations (hello chalk bunting!), ribbon, twine,
things for the babies and things for your home.
Here is a peek at just a few of her items but take a look at the website and spoil yourself with a little something ;)

The Leopard in Parkhurst
The Leopard in Parkhurst is my new favourite spot. It was love at first taste when I popped in for breakfast and indulged in round round balls covered in pistachio, gently resting in an orange jus, with star anise. The husband then took me there for a birthday dinner and we delighted in the cartoon napkins, the delicious food from all over the place (Italian spinach! Thai muscles!), the BYO, the eclectic crowd, and the little ballerina on my ice-cream to top it all off.
