I love innovative design within a city and this project by public installation artist, designer and urban planner is awesome. What would you fill in?

I came across this great website I am an artists/designer that functions as a an online exhibition showcase and salesroom featuring artists and designers from around the world. It's kind of like Etsy for artists. While I could probably feature every one of them for their creativity and uniqueness, it was Barbara Dierolf that caught my eye this morning for her colourful creations.
Guest Post: Holiday dreams
I cannot believe I have not posted any of my India pics yet and now as I sit in the office I am dreaming of the peaceful holiday that feels far further than 3 months ago...
This picture is my favourite of them all, I think it shows the essence of Mumbai in one captured second.
Here are some of my other Mumbai favourites

Jo'burg is experiencing the most wonderful almost-the-end-of-summer hot days. Lara Stone for Vogue China, March 2011, by Inez and Vinoodh captures this feeling completely. While sitting at work in my nude tea dress I am completely inspired by these gorgeous bright colours.

Just now I am popping down to Parkhurt to see Milli and have a sneak peak at the MeMeMe sale. MeMeMe was always a Cape Town treat on our sister day trips from Stellenbosch to the city and I am excited for this store to finally have arrived in Joburg (and just down the road from us sisters).

Here are some links so make your Friday go quickly. I hope your weekend is as sunny as it is today in Joburg.
Weekend Wishlist: I am desperate for one of these Proenza Schouler Fall 2011 bags.
Weekend Challenge: To make this Lemon Meringue Cake, as you know I am a huge fan of Nigella Lawson.
Weekend Look: Jeans and Shirts, sweet and simple: to the point.
Weekend home wants: these cushions, how cute is the paint pattern one? They are known as Forensic Pillows by Lost City Arts.
Weekend dresses: Look at the ELLE post on the Oscar dresses... my favourite was Florence Welch and Hailee Steinfeld.
Weekend read: I have finished Ingrid Betancourt's Even Silence has an End, about her 6 years as a hostage in the Columbian Jungle... I read it from cover to cover in less than week. But if you need something to read at your desk, here is a great interview with Garance Dore.
The living room
The husband and I might, might, might be buying an apartment (holding thumbs!). These clean, classic, textured spaces are giving me wonderful inspiration for our living area (we can dream can't we?).

Our gran's brother (our mum's uncle) showed us these pictures from the 1950s onwards of him, my gran and their family. I love them and wish I could see more.

On route to Nyasaland in Malawi in 1955

Granny Apples (our great grand mother), Prin (my gran's sister) and granny (far right)
The family.
