Post for a job opening
Monday, May 7, 2012
Underneath this description it reads: "Are you smart and driven, but don't see a position that matches your talents? Create your own job, and send us a resumé and a job description."
Sounds like the kind of place I would like to work.
Find out more here.
Thought for the week
Hope you had a lovely weekend. It is the first full week for a while for us South Africans (deep breath) so hopefully a productive one too!

Guest post: Happy Weekend
Friday, May 4, 2012
What are you up to this weekend? I am full steam ahead with the wedding planning... at at least trying to be so much of tomorrow is dedicated to making big decisions. The girls and I have a meeting tomorrow at Nice (in Parkhurst) to decide on bridesmaids dresses. And by 'meeting' I mean looking at magazines, patterns and Pinterest while eating the most delicious chocolate cake. Wedding diet? I laugh in the face of a wedding diet! What are you up to?
Here are some fun posts from around the web to make this sunny Friday fly by so that the weekend can arrive. Enjoy!
Do you like baking? I love it. Here is a wonderful guide to getting the most beautiful icing colors ever.
I just bought this print about marriage for my future-husband and my future-home.
Something to add to one's stationary draw.
Good rule for wedding planning.
I seriously love this look. Casual silk shorts, I like them a lot.
I am readying An African Love Story by Daphne Sheldrick at the moment. I love it, I just want to lie in bed and read it slowly page by page. But at the same time I am trying not to read it because I don't want the story to end. If you know what I mean?

Kiss My Face

Last week Cup of Jo did a post on natural sunscreens, emphasising the dangers of regular sunscreens. Being a fair skinned lass living under the hot African sun, I wear sunscreen every single day, come rain or shine, so this really hit home. Joanna recommended Josie Maran's sun protection lotion which is available at Sephora but unfortunately neither Sephora, nor Josie Maran, ship to South Africa.
On the look out for an option available to me here, I came across Kiss my Face at my local health shop, HealthWorks. This lotion rubs in nicely (you do not feel like you are wearing white some natural remedy on your face) and comes in SPF 30 and SPF 50 (perfect for those beach vacations).
So for all of you who have similar concerns but still don't want to get sun damage, give it a try!
Guest Post: Honeymoon dreaming
Wednesday, May 2, 2012
I just got back from six days in Mozambique and my mind is definitely still on the beach. I cannot bare to work! So now I am daydreaming about my up and coming honeymoon. And although the husband-to-be says 'keep dreaming' when I showed him this spot, I still have high hopes!
Song Saa is on a private island off Cambodia... doesn't it look sensational and the perfect spot for a romantic get-a-way? A girl can dream!

Morne and Shene tie the knot
Tuesday, May 1, 2012
This weekend we attended the wedding of Shene and Morne - a magical affair in the heart of the valley of the MolenVliet wine estate. The ceiling was lit with a canopy of fairy lights which perfectly set the scene for a night of love, dancing, friends and family, and delicious food.
