I wish I owned this pretty, vintage Celine shoulder bag.

Possibly Cooler Than The Impossible Cool?

The Impossible Cool has just launched A Conversation on Cool, a wider version of the original. And yes, it's cool.

Black as hell, strong as death, sweet as love

While Jo'burg may be streets ahead of Cape Town in terms of football frenzy, Cape Town wins hands down when it comes to coffee shops. I Love Coffee is an envy-inducing blog of a friend of mine dedicated to the art of coffee, how to's, know how's, barista magicians, and the coolest spots in the Mother City to be sipping your latte-frappe-double-dry potions. These places make me want to slow down, grab my book, and spend my day just drinking coffee:

Olympia Bakery

Bread Milk & Honey

Suprette

Deluxe Coffeeworks

Mill Coffee House

Where are you watching the soccer?

With a month to go until the World Cup, the energy and excitement is mounting daily. Cars around Jo'burg are sporting flags and Friday's are now synonymous with football jerseys. I am going to 2 games, one of which is a Soccer City - and I can't wait to see the stadium: it looks impressive during the day and glorious at night. In fact, all the stadiums which were built for the World Cup are spectacular!

 Durban Stadium, Durban

Green Point Stadium, Cape Town

Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Port Elizabeth

Soccer City Stadium, Johannesburg

Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit

I am kind of into LEGO right now

This might be slightly obsessive - an entire kitchen island made out of LEGO. But it looks fun!

Stark Studios

My weekend was uneventful but last Thursday I went to the official opening of the Stark Studios - the home of the creation of Binneland Sub Judice, MNet's popular and long running soapie. This studio is not only the best equipped studio in the southern hemisphere but probably in Europe as well. The complex took about 20 months to build and apart from being able to shoot scenes from 360 degrees, the floor, sound-proofing and acoustics are amazing. Additionally, they shoot in full HD. But aside from of the technological stuff, what makes this studio extra special is the beautiful decor: and it makes the perfect venue for a party!
