Hello fair friends. What are you getting up to this weekend? We have a dinner with Rochelle and Ewoud, a brunch and a lunch and a whole lot of house stuff stuff to take care of (the renovation is still going on but we are hoping to finish up next week!).The weather in Johannesburg looks gorgeous for the next two days - good timing Mother Nature and I already have the almost-spring feeling in my bones.

I am completely caught up in the Olympics, and South Africa's three gold medals (*so proud*) probably has something to do with that (although I have been finding the weight lifting rather fascinating too!).
For all of you who missed the rowing race yesterday (which is being touted as the Greatest Olympics Rowing Finish Ever), you can watch it here. And even though I knew the outcome my heart was racing when I watched this - love the gumption of our team.

As a non-athletic, non-sporty person, I find it amazing how the Olympians dedicate their entire lives to a sport. It makes one think about the age old talent-versus-perspiration debate. This is an interesting article on the concept of talent.
